Acer’s Predator laptop with curved screen costs 9999 euros

Acer’s gaming laptop with a curved 21″ screen, which is equipped with two GTX 1080 GPUs and a mechanical keyboard, will be available in February and will cost 9999 euros. Acer is also upgrading its Predator 17 X.

Acer announced the Predator 21 X in August but did not mention a price at the time and the processor was not yet known. That starting price turns out to be 9999 euros and the processor is the Intel Core i7-7820HK, an overclockable quad-core for laptops of the Kaby Lake generation, which runs at 2.8GHz as standard and can get an automatic boost to a maximum of 3.8GHz.

The Predator 21 X has a 21″ screen with a 21:9 ratio and a resolution of 2560×1080 pixels. Acer uses an IPS panel that has G-Sync support. The screen is driven by two Nvidia GTX 1080 GPUs in the laptop.The mechanical keyboard features Cherry MX Brown switches and the numeric island can be flipped over to act as a touchpad.

Acer is upgrading its Predator laptop with a more modest size, the 17 X with 17.3 “screen, with also a Core i7-7820HK processor. In addition, the new configuration gets an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 and can be equipped with up to 64GB DDR4. The laptop’s IPS screen contains 1920×1080 pixels, but there will also be a version with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels.This Predator 17 X will also come in February and will cost at least €3299.
