Acer will equip its Nitro laptop for gamers with Intel’s new Coffee Lake-H processors. The manufacturer combines the Core i7 hexacore processor with the laptop with the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti from Nvidia.

Acer doesn’t say exactly which Coffee Lake-H processors the Nitro 5 models will come with, but is talking about the Core i7, so that it can be the Core i7-8750H and the Core i7 8850H. The laptop will have a maximum of 32GB DDR4 memory, but given the existing models, it will rather be 8GB or 16GB.

There is also up to 512GB of PCI-e SSD storage. The Wi-Fi network card is the AC 9560 from Intel and this is a 2×2 card with support for 802.11ac. Furthermore, Acer mentions the presence of usb-c, hdmi 2.0 and gigabit ethernet, properties that the existing models already have.

The 15.6 “screen shows the full HD resolution and is, according to Acer, of the IPS type, but it is not clear whether Acer uses a different screen type than its current Nitro 5 offering, which are officially of the ahva type. More details about the update of the Nitro 5 line should be known in mid-May, when Acer will start sales, for a starting price of 999 euros.
