Lenovo updates ThinkPad X1 series with OLED screens and better webcams

Lenovo introduces new versions of its high-end business laptops in the ThinkPad X1 series. The X1 Carbon Gen 10 and X1 Yoga Gen 7 are available with OLED screens, and all models feature Intel Alder Lake processors.

The tenth generation of the X1 Carbon laptop has a 14″ screen with a 16:10 ratio and you can choose LCDs with up to 3840×2400 pixels, or an OLED screen with a resolution of 2880×1800 pixels.

Lenovo has reached the seventh generation with its X1 Yoga convertible and this version will have 14″ OLED screens, with a resolution of up to 3840×2400 pixels. The X1 Nano, with its 13″ screen the smallest and lightest of the three, has no option for an OLED screen. Lenovo speaks of an LCD with resolutions ‘up to 2k’.

In its announcement, Lenovo highlights the upgraded full-HD webcam and quad array microphones. All X1 models feature Intel Alder Lake processors. This concerns 15W versions or 28W models. There is a maximum of 32GB of Lpddr5 memory in the laptops. According to Lenovo, the new ThinkPad X1 models will be available around May or June, with starting prices of around two thousand euros.
