Zotac has released a powerful mini PC and a VR backpack in honor of its tenth anniversary. The Zbox Magnus EN1080 is equipped with a Core i7-6700 and a GTX 1080, both of which are water-cooled. The VR backpack has a GTX 1070 and a battery life of two hours.

The Zbox Magnus EN1080 comes standard without memory and storage. The options for this consist of two sodimm-ddr4-ram slots, which together can accommodate a maximum of 32GB, an m2 slot for an SSD and a SATA connection, which fits a 2.5″ SSD or HDD.

There are many connections to be found on the small housing. On the back there are four USB 3.0 ports, two display ports, two HDMI 2.0 connections and two gigabit Ethernet connections. Furthermore, two antennas can be connected, for WiFi-802.11b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.2 connections. The computer has two power connections and a 180W adapter must be connected to each. An extra HDMI 2.0 port can be found on the front of the housing. There is a USB 3.1 port, a USB 3.1 port with a USB-C connection, an SD card reader and two 3.5mm audio ports.

The housing is 225x203x128mm in size, for a total volume of less than six liters. RGB LED lighting can be found behind the power button and the logos on the sides. The color of the LEDs can be set with software supplied with the computer.

The virtual reality backpack will be named VR GO. The backpack is equipped with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070, an Intel Core i5-6400T, 8GB of ram, an m2 SSD of 120GB and a 2.5″ HDD of 1TB. It contains two 9000mAh batteries, which are hot swappable. The batteries last for two hours and are charged in two hours.

The backpack has the same connectivity options as the Zbox, except that the USB-c port has been swapped for an extra USB-type-a port. LED lights on the housing indicate how much power is left in the batteries. In total, the entire system weighs 4.5 kilograms.

It is not known whether the VR GO will appear on the market. The company already showed a VR backpack in April, but it has never appeared on the market. Other companies have also shown a VR backpack. None of these products have ever actually gone on sale.

However, the Zbox does seem to actually appear. Zotac has not yet announced if and when it will be available in the Benelux. Prices are also unknown.
