Xolo announces Windows Phone device of only 100 grams

Indian smartphone maker Xolo has announced the Win Q900s, a Windows Phone 8.1 device that is said to be the lightest of its kind. The device has a 4.7 “screen and weighs 100 grams. For now, the smartphone is only available in India.

Xolo states that it is the world’s lightest smartphone with the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system and the lightest smartphone with a 4.7″ screen. In addition to these features, the Win Q900s has a low-end Snapdragon 200-soc and a screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels.There is 1GB of RAM and 8GB for storage, which can also be expanded with micro-SD cards.For photos, an 8-megapixel camera is built-in.

For the time being, Xolo seems to be selling its new, lightweight Windows Phone smartphone only in India. The device can now be ordered for a converted price of 122 euros. The Win Q900s will be delivered from next month. According to Xolo, 5000 devices will initially be made. Rumors have already surfaced about Xolo’s lightweight Windows Phone device, so the announcement doesn’t come as a surprise.

Earlier, Xolo was the first to release a smartphone with an Intel soc, also in its home country of India. The company mainly focuses on the release of budget smartphones.
