The Chinese phone manufacturer Xiaomi has announced a new version of the popular Redmi Note 8 from 2019, the Redmi Note 8 2021. The phone will be released to celebrate the original phone sold 25 million times worldwide.

Little has been confirmed about the Redmi Note 8 2021, except that this one is going to come out to celebrate the worldwide sales of 25 million copies of the phone from 2019. Whether that is only the Redmi Note 8, or also the Pro model, Xiaomi does not report.

Still, there are already some rumors about the phone’s specifications, Android Authority writes based on a Xiaomi UI Telegram group. For example, the phone would have an IPS screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz with a small notch for the camera, a MediaTek Helio G85 processor, comparable to the Redmi Note 9, 4GB ram, 64 or 128GB storage memory and a 4000mAh battery. The company would supply the smartphone with a 22.5W fast charger.

There are also reports of a quad camera island with a standard, ultrawide, tele macro and depth lens. In addition, the phone has appeared on the website of the Bluetooth SIG, which states that the phone is equipped with Xiaomi’s operating system MIUI 12 or higher and is equipped with Bluetooth 5.2.
