Blizzard is meeting World of Warcraft players after the grueling launch of the Warlords of Draenor expansion pack. Any subscription that was already active on November 14th will be extended by the developer for another five days.

The launch of the new World of Warcraft expansion pack was below par, Blizzard wrote on its forum. Players were affected by gameplay and server issues. The problems mainly occurred in the busiest areas, but Blizzard also had to contend with a DDO attack. The maximum number of players was therefore reduced to aid game progress.

Blizzard claims to be on its way back. The developer is trying to fix the remaining issues, which are expected to double the capacity in each realm from the capacity during Warlords of Draenor release. The studio wants to compensate players who were hindered by the problems surrounding the launch. Blizzard is adding five game days to the subscriptions of World of Warcraft players who were already registered on November 14.
