The classic shooter Wolfenstein 3D from 1992 is officially available again in Germany after almost thirty years. In 1994 there was in fact a ban through a court decision. In the meantime, the necessary age inspections have been issued that are necessary for the sale.

The Kinsie Twitter account reports that Wolfenstein 3D is available in Germany and sold again on Steam. The base game is offered together with the Spear of Destiny expansion for a price of 5 euros. The sold version would not have been modified from the original.

Earlier, the German game site GameStar reported that a age rating has been added for Germany. The game has been approved for sale in the country. The base game is approved for players aged 16 and over, while the Spear of Destiny expansion has been rated 18+.

The ban on Wolfenstein 3D was already lifted in 2019, but the game has still not or hardly been available in Germany since then due to the lack of this age rating. The fact that this classic game was unavailable for so long is due to the presence of Nazi symbols.
