WinFuture: Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro get Bluetooth 5.3 and cost 229 euros

The upcoming wireless Galaxy Buds2 Pro earphones will cost 229 euros. That writes the German WinFuture. The Samsung earphones would have Bluetooth 5.3, 10mm drivers and 5.3mm tweeters. The South Korean manufacturer will announce the earphones on August 10.

The editors of WinFuture In its own words, it received marketing material from the Buds2 earphones, allowing it to release technical information about the wireless earphones. The earphones have a matte design compared to the current Buds Pro earphones from Samsung, which are glossy. According to WinFuture, the South Korean manufacturer also chose to improve the active noise reduction. That feature would be named Intelligent Active Noise Cancellation this year and be able to reduce ambient noise by 33dB.

According to WinFuture, the Bud2 Pro will get 10mm woofers instead of the 11mm woofers that are placed in the current generation of Buds Pro. The tweeters would be 5.3mm in size, instead of the 6.5mm tweeters found in the current Buds Pro. The earplugs are said to withstand immersion in water via the IPX7 rating. This for a maximum of 30 minutes and to a depth of 1 meter.

The Buds2 Pro earphones would support Bluetooth 5.3 and have a battery that makes them last up to 8 hours. According to WinFuture, you can listen to music for a total of 29 hours via the supplied case. It is not clear whether this is the case when the active noise cancellation is on. WinFuture also writes that the earphones support fast charging. After five minutes in the case, you can listen to music for 55 minutes.

The images should show that Samsung will release the Galaxy Buds2 Pro earphones in a gray, purple and white color. WinFuture writes that the South Korean manufacturer will ask 229 euros for the Buds2 Pro earplugs. They will reportedly be announced at the next Unpacked event on August 10 at 6:00 PM. They should be available in most countries from August 26.
