Germany’s WinFuture has managed to get hold of product images of the Galaxy Watch5, as well as additional details about Samsung’s upcoming smartwatches. They would get a larger battery, a new sensor on the back and go over the counter from 299 euros.

The standard version of the Galaxy Watch5 will come in a 40mm version and a 44mm version. The 40mm version would be 9.8mm thick and weigh 28.7 grams. The 44mm version would also be 9.8mm thick, but weigh 33.5 grams. The smaller version gets a 1.19” AMOLED screen with a resolution of 396×396 pixels. The larger model will have a 1.36” AMOLED panel with a resolution of 450×450 pixels.

There is also reportedly a Pro model of the Galaxy Watch5. That model gets a larger housing of 45 mm that consists of titanium. The Pro model is said to be 10.5 millimeters thick and weigh 46.5 grams and is said to have the same OLED panel as the 44mm Galaxy Watch5.

All models will reportedly come with sapphire glass to protect the display from scratches. Samsung would also have placed a new sensor on the back of the smart watches, but what function it has, don’t know WinFuture yet. The editors of the website are thinking of a temperature sensor.

Both the 40mm and 44mm versions of the Galaxy Watch5 will last a maximum of 50 hours on a single charge. The smaller variant gets a 284mAh battery, compared to the 247mAh of the smaller Galaxy Watch4 from last year. The larger version gets a 410mAh battery, compared to the 361mAh that is in the 44mm version of the Watch4. The Pro variant gets a battery of 590mAh and should be able to last 80 hours. All batteries can be charged wirelessly via the built-in charger with 10 watts.

The smartwatches will have an Exynos W920 soc that is also in the Samsung Galaxy Watch4. This chip features two 1.18GHz Cortex-A55 cores and a Mali-G68 MP2 GPU. In addition, there is an economical Cortex-M55 core that should be able to limit the energy consumption when using the always-on display. Samsung would also introduce lte versions of the watches that support e-sim.

The 40mm version of the Galaxy Watch5 would be sold for 299 euros. The 44mm version should cost 329 euros. The Galaxy Watch5 Pro would cost 469 euros. According to WinFuture, the versions with lte connectivity each cost about 50 euros more.
