Warner Bros. is working on Harry Potter RPG Hogwarts Legacy for consoles and PC

Publisher Warner Bros. and developer Avalanche have announced Hogwarts Legacy, an open-world RPG set in the Harry Potter universe. The game will be released next year and will be released on PlayStation and Xbox consoles and on PC.

According to a description of the game, players will discover the Hogwarts of the 1800s in the RPG. Players will explore familiar and new environments, encounter beasts and be able to make potions and become the wizard they want to be.

Players take on the role of a student who knows about a secret threatening to tear the wizarding world apart. The student can perceive and control ancient magic. Players must decide whether to use it to protect everyone, or to surrender to the lure of dark magic.

Warner Bros. is the publisher of the game. Avalanche is the developer and Wizarding World and Portkey Games are also involved in the making of the game. Hogwarts Legacy will be released next year, but when is not yet known. The game will be released for the Xbox One and Series X and S, the PlayStation 4 and 5 and for PCs.
