WhatsApp seems to be working on an option for users to send surveys in chat groups on the platform, it appeared earlier. The website WABetaInfo has now published a screenshot showing what this function will look like for users.

WABetaInfo shows a screenshot of a group chat within WhatsApp. It shows that within a window a question is asked with five options that can be selected individually, after which users can vote. The choices made are then shared with the other group members. This information is also secured via end-to-end encryption. Further information is not yet available.

The website emphasizes that WhatsApp is developing this capability and that it will be released in a future update. The group survey option in WhatsApp is also not yet available to a small group of beta testers and is currently only being developed for the Android version of WhatsApp. A release date is still unknown.

WABetaInfo reported last month that WhatsApp is testing a poll function. Beta testers could then create a survey in group conversations, after which group members could submit their answers via the chat service. This was a test for iOS.
