Microsoft’s Voice Assistant Cortana warns users with a pop-up notification that the app will no longer work as of March 31. Users must switch to the Microsoft To Do app to continue using reminders and lists.

It has been known since last summer that Microsoft will stop supporting Cortana on all third-party devices and software. It will stop with the voice assistant iOS and Android apps and the version on Surface headphones. Support for third-party apps was the first to disappear on September 7. The date for the apps on iOS and Android has not yet been announced. That now turns out to be March 31. Users get now a popup notification about the disappearance of Cortana, the website MSPoweruser discovered.

In the pop-up notification, Microsoft links to the support page. It states that Cortana content that users have created themselves, such as reminders and lists, will no longer work in the mobile app. The content can still be accessed via Cortana on Windows. Cortana reminders, lists, and tasks are automatically synced to the Microsoft To Do app.
