Video shows Samsung Galaxy S8 with white screen edges – update

A video of the suspected Samsung Galaxy S8 has surfaced, showing the smartphone in action. In the video, the Galaxy S8 is subjected to a touchscreen test, but it is also noticeable that the screen edges are white.

The video in question was put on YouTube by the Slashleaks website. Although the video is only nine seconds long, there are a few things to make out. For example, it can clearly be seen that the edges around the screen are white, while in previous leaked images black edges were visible. Samsung probably opts for delivery in multiple colors.

The images also seem to be intended to demonstrate the touchscreen of the smartphone. In addition to the fact that it is a working copy, the video offers no further information about the properties of the suspected Galaxy S8.

Earlier this month, an image came out on which the presumably Galaxy S8 can be seen. This is probably an official image of Samsung intended for use in the announcement.

Update, Sunday: tweaker Mstiic and others report that this is probably a white screen protector that is being tested and that the device itself may not be white at all. The presence of a white and a blue screen protector in the background suggests that this is indeed the case.
