Vampire Survivors Best Game at BAFTA Awards; publisher announces new dlc

Indie game Vampire Survivors has been voted best game at the BAFTA Game Awards. The popular roguelike also won the award for best game design. The day after the ceremony, the English publisher Poncle announced a second DLC for the game. It comes out on April 13.

The new DLC will be titled Tides of the Foscari. This expansion is happening according to Poncle set in a wooded area where players must try to locate an elite school. On their way there, they must try to defeat vampires. According to Poncle, the DLC includes eight new characters, thirteen new weapons, new in-game music and 21 new achievements. The expansion is available on April 13 for Steam, Xbox, Android and iOS and costs 1.99 euros.

God of War Ragnarök won six awards at the BAFTA Game Awards. Santa Monica Studio’s game won a BAFTA Game Award for Best Animation, Best Music and Best Audio Performance. American actress Laya DeLeon Hayes won an award for best acting performance in a supporting role. Actor Christopher Judge, who plays Kratos in the games, won the award for Best Performance in a Leading Role. God of War Ragnarök has also been voted EE Game of the Year. That is the audience award that is awarded during the BAFTA Game Awards. Elden Ring also received awards at the BAFTA Game Awards. FromSoftware’s game won an award for best original property and best multiplayer game.

Vampire Survivors is a roguelike that came to the market in 2021. The game has one of the highest ratings on Steam; 98 percent of the 180,000 user reviews on this game are positive. In December of 2022, developer Luca Galante announced that the mobile version of the game would become free.
