Users of new Macbook Pro models are experiencing graphics problems

The new Macbook Pros seem to suffer from graphical problems. These seem to occur mainly in the version with Radeon GPU, but owners of models with only Intel chips complain about artifacts in their image.

On the 9to5Mac forum, several users are complaining that their Macbooks are showing artifacts. The problems seem to arise mainly when GPU-intensive tasks are performed, such as rendering a video in Adobe Premiere. This suggests that the problems may be related to overheating of the GPU.

The website has launched a poll asking if users are experiencing problems with their new laptops. Hundreds of people indicate that their Macbooks are experiencing problems, but the poll may be misinterpreted and users only fill in which models they have purchased.

It is not the first time that problems arise with the gpus in Macbook Pros. Apple has previously set up a replacement program for laptops experiencing such problems. These included the 15″ and 17″ models produced in 2011 and the 15″ models sold by the company between the first half of 2012 and the first months of 2013.
