Nintendo has announced an update for Super Mario Maker 2 that adds a World Mode. In it, users can merge forty self-built levels into a path, creating a whole self-built game.

The update will be released on Wednesday, Nintendo says. It does not cost any extra money for buyers of the game. The World Mode can contain up to eight worlds with five levels each, for a total of forty self-built levels. In World Mode, users can plot a path from the beginning to an end castle.

The update also includes several new enemies and other options. It is the first time that Nintendo has let users build entire games in the Mario Maker games; until now it was only possible to build levels. Super Mario Maker 2 came out last fall for the Nintendo Switch. There was already an update with Zelda content.
