Ubisoft has postponed Skull & Bones again. In a quarterly update, the publisher informed shareholders that the game will no longer be released in 2021. The pirate game is now slated for fiscal year 2022

The pirate game Skull & Bones was announced at E3 in 2017. The game was then supposed to release in 2018, but has been delayed several times since then. Earlier it was announced that the open world game would take a different approach, with a dynamic story that changes based on the actions of players in the game.

The publisher has not made any statements until Tuesday about when Skull & Bones should appear, but in any case no longer in 2020. Tuesday’s quarterly update shows that this will no longer be 2021. The game should now be released in fiscal year 2022 – 2023, meaning the game should be released sometime between April 2022 and April 2023.

Skull & Bones is based on the naval battles from Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. According to sources, Ubisoft wants to bring the game the social and live storytelling aspects of Fortnite and continue to update the game over a longer period of time.
