Ubisoft is compensating for Unity issues with free content and games

French publisher Ubisoft has announced that it will compensate gamers who bought Assassin’s Creed: Unity. The single player content from the Season Pass will be free. Those who have already purchased a Season Pass will receive a free game instead.

Anyone who owns Assassin’s Creed: Unity will receive the Dead Kings DLC from the Season Pass for free. Ubisoft announced this on Wednesday. Once the DLC is available, it will automatically be ready for download. Gamers who have already purchased the Season Pass or own a special edition of Assassin’s Creed: Unity that already included the Season Pass will be able to choose another Ubisoft game for free from the following six games: Far Cry 4, The Crew, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Rayman Legends, Watch Dogs and Just Dance 2015.

With the gesture, Ubisoft wants to apologize for the technical problems that plagued many gamers after the release of Assassin’s Creed: Unity. “On behalf of Ubisoft and the entire team at Assassin’s Creed, I would like to sincerely apologize for this. These issues did not affect your gameplay and prevented many of you from experiencing the game to the fullest,” said Ubisoft Montreal and Toronto President Yannis Mallat. know in a statement.

After the release of Assassin’s Creed: Unity, many gamers were found to be experiencing technical issues ranging from characters falling through the map and other graphical oddities to severe framerate drops. Ubisoft is still working on fixing all the issues and released the third patch for the game on Wednesday, which mainly aims to fix the framerate issues.
