Surface Pro 8 may get a 120Hz display and Thunderbolt support

An image of the Surface Pro 8 has surfaced that would indicate that the device will have a 120Hz screen and two Thunderbolt connections. Microsoft is holding an event on Wednesday where it will introduce new Surface devices, among other things.

The image is from Shadow_Leak’s Twitter account. It appears to be a photo of a store ad. According to the person behind the Twitter account would the basic variant of the device costs about 680 euros.

Based on the retailer’s information, the tablet will receive an 11th-generation Intel Core processor, a 120Hz screen with a 13″ diagonal and two Thunderbolt connections. The device would also get replaceable SSDs and run on Windows 11.

On Wednesday, Microsoft will hold a Surface event in the form of an online presentation, where the company will talk about “Windows 11 and Surface devices.” The Surface Pro 8 will probably be announced then, as will the unannounced Surface Go 3.

Information has already come out about the latter tablet, also from a retailer. This ‘tabtop’ would have 4GB or 8GB of memory and an Intel Amber Lake-Y chip. There have been rumors for some time about the arrival of the Microsoft Surface Go 3.
