Airtight Games, the development studio that was responsible for, among other things, the detective game Murdered: Soul Suspect, has closed. The studio is selling the contents of its office and has left a message of thanks to family, friends, fans and employees via Twitter.

Although Airtight did not literally announce that the studio is closing, Wednesday evenings spoke posted tweets volumes. The company would like to thank friends, fans and family, and all employees who have worked on the studio’s various games over the past ten years. These include, in addition to the recently published Murdered: Soul Suspect, Quantum Conundrum and Dark Void, in addition to the recently released by Square Enix.

The first reports that Airtight Games would be closing appeared on Tuesday. The American website Geekwire.com claimed to have stopped at the development studio to find a sign announcing the studio’s closure. That sign also stated that the studio’s contents were being sold. However, the reports of the studio’s closure were not confirmed at the time. However, that has now happened with the appearance of the tweets.

In April, Airtight was briefly in the news because the studio had to let fourteen employees go. However, according to President Jim Deal, that had to do with the development cycle; it’s quite common for studios to let go of redundant employees when a project is nearing completion.
