Square Enix Working On Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue For PS4
Square Enix is working on Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue. This is a compilation consisting of a HD PS4 port of the 2012 3DS action RPG Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, a movie and a new gameplay episode whose story is tied to KH3.
Square Enix announced Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue during the Sony press conference at the Tokyo Game Show on Tuesday. Dream Drop Distance is getting an HD remaster treatment from Square Enix and according to the Japanese company, the pace of combat in this game is faster than in the 3DS version.
Kingdom Hearts Back Cover is the movie in the compilation. It tells the story of the Foretellers, providing great insight into the oldest part of the Kingdom Hearts universe’s history. The content of the film is also closely linked to Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ, a mobile game that is already out in Japan, but not yet in the rest of the world.
Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage is the short gameplay episode in the bundle. This is new content closely tied to the story of Kingdom Hearts 3, which is in the works for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Players take on the role of Aqua in Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage.
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue is coming to PlayStation 4, but a release date and price have yet to be announced. Square Enix will release a trailer of the compilation on Thursday, September 17, the company said.
