Hardware manufacturer Spire has released its Gemini cooler in a new jacket. The third revision of the cooler is equipped with two supplied fans, the rotational speed of which can be controlled by a separate fan controller.

The Gemini cooler, Spire’s successor to the Eclipse, consists of a copper cooling block that is in contact with the processor. Six 6mm copper heatpipes extend through the base and transfer heat to fifty-two aluminum cooling fins. The cooling fins have a dented surface, which should promote heat exchange. A black nickel plating should provide an anti-rust finish.

Spire supplies two 120mm fans with the Gemini Rev.2 along. The two Blackstars are set to the desired speed by means of a fan controller; the fan controller can be mounted in a free PCI expansion slot. The rotational speed of the fans can vary from 600 to 1700rpm. Of course, the Gemini can be mounted on all current sockets from AMD and Intel. The cooler is available from August 1 for 45 euros.
