Version 2.0.9.0 of YUMI has been released. YUMI stands for Your Universal Multiboot Installer and is a Windows program that allows the installation ISOs of a large number of Linux distributions to be placed on a USB stick. In addition, there is support for Windows installation CDs, antivirus rescue CDs, and other tools. This means that they no longer have to be burned to a CD or DVD first, but the installation can be performed from the self-starting USB stick. What sets YUMI apart is that several ISOs can be added, which end up as choices in a boot menu. Since version 2.0.8.3, the following changes and improvements have been made:

Version 2.0.9.0:

  • Update to extract and run AmogOS with persistence from a directory.

Version 2.0.8.9:

  • Update to support AmogOS.

Version 2.0.8.8:

  • allow running from earlier; IE Windows 7 versions.
  • Moved checkpoint to prevent NTFS format and Wipe options from displaying if OS is not at least Windows 8.

Version 2.0.8.7:

  • Set to show Local Drives in addition to USB Drives.
  • Include an additional confirmation prompt before proceeding to Wipe and or Format.
  • implemented a checkpoint to prevent YUMI from running if not at least Windows 8.

Version 2.0.8.6:

  • Updated to support Linux CNC.
  • Also corrected Super Grub2 Disk entry.

Version 2.0.8.5:

  • Set to show USB removable media only.
    As a result, devices listed as local (fixed) disks are no longer displayed.

Version 2.0.8.4:

  • Removed some distros that are no longer in development.
  • Also fixed several broken links.
