Software Update: Yate 2.2

Yate, the abbreviation of Yet another telephony engine, is a C++ telephony engine that now focuses mainly on voip and pstn. It is easy to expand and can therefore also be used for video or data transfer and instant messaging. For example, Yate can be used as an H.323 gatekeeper, sip router, sip registration server, ivr engine or voip2pstn gateway. For more information, we refer you to this page. The developers have released version 2.2 with the following announcement:

Yate 2.2
It is mainly a maintenance release with various fixes backported from SVN. The performance of the SIP parser was greatly improved and the fax module can act as T.38 terminal. Worked around the 100% processor load when Qt is using the glib event loop.

Includes Cisco SLT support and PSTN circuits over MGCP gateways, can control both signaling and media of Cisco AS54xx series.
