Software Update: Yahoo Messenger with Voice 7.0

Yahoo released a new version of its instant messaging program last Monday, version 7.0. The most striking new feature is the ability to make VoIP phone calls with the software. For now, calls can only be made to fellow Yahoo Messenger users, but in the future it should also be possible to call regular telephones. In addition, voicemail and conversation history functionality has been added and it is possible to search and share search results from within the chat program. Exact bug fixes and other new features are unknown and release notes are not available.
