Download Xfire 1.95

Xfire released version 1.95 of its eponymous chat program on Tuesday. The program is mainly intended for avid gamers. With Xfire it is possible to chat via text and voice both inside and outside games. Furthermore, statistics are kept of the performance in different games, you can see which games the people from your contact list are playing at that moment and game patches and demos can be downloaded via the own p2p network. At the moment more than 1250 games are supported, of which 191 are the so-called ‘one click join‘ and over 800 ‘in game chat‘ support. New in this release is, among other things, a memory buffer that makes it possible to go back in time and start recording a few seconds before the record button was pressed. Release notes for 1.95:

• Added the option in Tools | Options | Video to enable flashback, which maintains a buffer in memory of a few seconds of video as you play a game. When you press Scroll Lock + V to record a video, the video starts recording a few seconds in the past.
• Added a new encoded videos section to the Videos tab.
• Added a thumbtack to allow the chat room voice chat overlay in Xfire In-Game to be hidden.
• Added a self-mute button on chat windows for voice chats.
• Added a right-click menu item to mute other people in a group chat room
• Fixed many minor voice chat problems.
• Added ability to flag videos as only appropriate for adults.
