Software update: Xfire 1.60

Xfire has released version 1.60 of its eponymous program. This piece of software is aimed at avid gamers and allows them to chat with others, both in and out of games, easily find out what game the people on the contact list are playing and then easily add themselves to that game. Xfire can also help you find a fast game server with free places, game patches and demos can be downloaded via your own P2P network and there is the option of voice chat. At the moment, just under 700 games are supported, of which 168′one click join‘ and 386 ‘in game chat‘ support. The changelog of this release shows the following changes:

• Added support for the Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard. The first bit of every message you receive will be displayed in the LCD in the keyboard.
• Improved the Tools | Options | Games configuration process for Sony Station games.
• Updated the flow of the user registration process.
• Added group chat lobby support for Heroes III, Flight Sim 2004, Risk II, and several MechWarrior games.
• Improved log parsing for game statistics for Quake 3 and Jedi Academy Multiplayer.
• The servers tab is now updated when you manually configure a game in Tools | Options | games.
• Fixed detection of Half-Life 2 Lost Coast and Red Orchestra Ostfront 41-45 (Steam).
