Software Update: WSUS Offline Update 10.6.0

Version 10.6 of WSUS Offline Update has been released. This program makes it possible to provide Windows computers that have no or a slow internet connection with the latest updates from Microsoft. Simply checking one or more operating systems, office suites and languages ​​will download all available updates from Microsoft’s ftp server. When the updates are in, an ISO file is optionally made per language or per operating system. Other computers can then be updated quickly and easily via a CD or DVD. Since version 10.0 there is also support for Windows 10 and Server 2016. In this release the following changes and improvements have been made:

• Support added for Windows Management Framework 5.0 on Windows 7 / 8.1 and Server 2008 R2 / 2012 / 2012 R2 (x86/x64) systems
• Ability added to enable .NET Framework 3.5 feature even on Windows 10 and Server 2016 (x86/x64) systems
• Replaced superseded Windows Update Client February 2016 (kb3135445/kb3135449) for Windows 7 / 8.1 (x86/x64) and Server 2008/2012 R2 by Windows Update Client March 2016 (kb3138612/kb3138615)
• DoUpdate.cmd script will now support “/skipieinst” switch to avoid mandatory installation of most recent Internet Explorer
• UpdateInstaller.ini file will now support “skipieinst” setting in [Installation] to control “/skipieinst” switch for DoUpdate.cmd script
• Fix: DoUpdate.cmd script will now only install most recent Internet Explorer if IE feature was not disabled before
• Fix: Installation of kb3134814 (MS16-009) for Windows 7 / 8.1 (x86/x64) and Server 2008/2012 R2 missed partial update kb3141092
• Fix: .NET Framework 4 rolled back to v. 4.6 for Windows Vista and Server 2008 (x86/x64) systems
• Fix: Installation of MSU packages failed because DoUpdate.cmd script disabled service ‘Windows Update’ (wuauserv)
• Fix: WOUTempAdmin password enhanced to satisfy complexity policies
• Fix: DoUpdate.cmd script attempted to restore invalid registry value “DelayedAutoStart” for service ‘Windows Update’ (wuauserv) under Windows 10
