Software Update: WordPress 3.1.2

Version 3.1.2 of WordPress has been released. With this program, which is made available under the gpl license, it is possible to set up and maintain a weblog. WordPress could be up and running in five minutes if a server with PHP and MySQL is available. There are possibilities to further extend the functionality of WordPress, in addition to blogging, and improve the appearance with plugins and themes to adjust. New in version 3.1 include internal linking and a new management bar. In addition, the multisite functionality has been moved to a separate place. This second update for version 3.1 fixes some important security vulnerabilities.

Fixed in WordPress 3.1.2:

• Fix a vulnerability that allowed Contributor-level users to improperly publish posts. (r17710)
• Fix user queries ordered by post count. (#17123)
• Fix multiple tag queries. (#17054)
• Prevent over-escaping of post titles when using Quick Edit for pages. (#17218)
