Software Update: Wireshark 1.10.5

Version 1.10.5 of the open source protocol analyzer and packet niffer Wireshark has been released. With this program, various data packets and network protocols on the network can be analyzed. The program can also use previously saved data traffic as input. Wireshark runs on Windows, Linux, and OS X, with separate downloads for 32bit and 64bit versions of the operating systems. This release fixes the following three issues:

The following bugs have been fixed:

• Wireshark stops showing new packets but dumpcap keeps writing them to the temp file. (Bug 9571)
• Wireshark 1.10.4 shuts down when promiscuous mode is unchecked. (Bug 9577)
• Homeplug dissector bug: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION: dissector accessed an invalid memory address. (Bug 9578)
