Software update: WinZip 12.1 build 8497
Corel has updated its Winzip archiver to version 12.1. Winzip used to be a popular program on the PC, but with zip support baked into newer versions of Windows and competition from programs like WinRAR and 7-Zip, its popularity has been on the wane for a while. Since version 10.0 there are two different versions: a standard and a pro version. The first costs thirty euros, the other fifty euros over the counter.
