Spread the love

RAR Labs has released the fifth beta release of version 4.10 of its RAR and WinRAR archiving tools. The popular compression tool is available for a variety of operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X. The program handles most common formats – including rar, zip, cab, arj, lzh, tar, gz, ace, uue, bz2, jar , iso, 7z and z – has a skinnable interface and has support for Zip64 and multivolume cab files. New in version 4.10 is, among other things, that there is no longer a limit on the size of a zip archive and there is now the possibility to create a multi-volume zip archive. In beta 5, two more issues have been fixed.

Bug fixed:

  • Switch -n did not work properly, when used together with -ep1 and file masks including paths;
  • SFX archives in “Temporary mode” returned the exit code of setup program increased by 1000 even if “Wait and return exit code” option was not enabled.
