Firmware update: Eminent EM7285 1.1.7

Eminent released new firmware for the EM7285 media player on Tuesday. This device is equipped with an RT1185 chipset from Realtek and includes USB 3.0, Gigabit LAN and Wi-Fi up to 802.11n. Internally there is room for a 3.5″ hard drive and Wi-Fi is offered as an option. Version 1.1.7 of the firmware makes the following changes and improvements:

• ‘Sort by name’ and ‘Sort by date’ are now also available as options via ‘File’.
• Improved support for M2TS file format.
• Enhanced TrueHD and DTS-HD support via HDMI RAW output
• Di.fm app added. (Internet Radio)
• Soma.fm app added. (Internet Radio)
• Sky.fm app added. (Internet Radio
• Translations (NL/UK) updated.
• NZBget / Transmission startup procedure updated.
• Transmission Torrent client upgrade to v2.22
