Software Update: Wine 20050419

A new version of Wine can be downloaded from SourceForge. The purpose of the open source project is to allow Windows programs to run in a Linux environment. The software is available for various Linux distributions and the version for mandrake† Slackware and SUSE have just been updated to version 20050419 and the source code is of course also available. The changelog of this release shows the following changes:

• Mail slot support.
• Support for side mouse buttons (X buttons).
• More Richedit improvements.
• Loading of Windows registry files disabled for now.
• Many code cleanups.
• Lots of bug fixes.
