Software Update: WindowBlinds 8.05

Stardock has released version 8.05 of WindowBlinds. With this program, which can be used as a stand-alone application or as part of the Object Desktopsuite can be downloaded, it is possible to completely customize the appearance of a Windows machine. This goes beyond just using other colors and backgrounds. For example, extra buttons for more functionality can also be added and the start menu can be animated, among other things. Furthermore, not only the interface of Windows itself can be adjusted, the appearance of programs that run under Windows can also be adjusted. In version 8.0, support for Windows XP and Vista has been dropped and the user interface has been completely redesigned. Since version 8.02 the following improvements have been made:

• Fix for blank desktop on logon with optional May KB2955164 update (you can hold Ctrl while logging on to bypass WB)
• Updates to support Google Chrome v36 (currently dev channel) including 64-bit Google Chrome
• Skin tweaks and fix for “V” skin recolouring issues

• Fixes for right mouse button menus on Windows 8.1 Update and a resource leak

• Fixes for Google Chrome display issues
