Software update: Winamp 5.64 build 3415

While work on version 5.7 is progressing steadily, Nullsoft has also released a new version of Winamp 5.6x. This media player can be downloaded in different variants. The Lite version can only play music files; the Full version also allows viewing video files and listening to Shoutcast broadcasts. Furthermore, the Full version has a media library and can be used to rip CDs. Finally, there is the Pro version, which costs 13.50 euros. The Pro version allows you to encode files, burn CDs and play video files with h264 compression, among other things. In version 5.64, the following changes and improvements have been made:

• Option to run Winamp in Safe Mode (also via /SAFE=1 commandline switch)
• XSPF playlist support (read only support, write support to follow)
