Software Update: Winamp 5.08c

Nullsoft today released a new version of its media player Winamp. It concerns version 5.08c and can be downloaded in the Lite-† full- and Pro variants† The latter version, unlike the first two, is not freeware, but is distributed as shareware. Winamp 5.08c is an update to the previously released 5.08 version, which consisted only of a collection of eMusic mp3 bundles. Among other things, the c-release contains two fewer security bugs and also no longer suffers from a buffer overflow in in_cdda.dll. The full changelog of the new version looks like this:

• HTTP Seeking corrected for webservers that refuse to return Accept-Range
