Software update: Webmin 1.100

Spread the love

Webmin is a tool that makes it possible to maintain a Unix-based system via a web interface. Among other things, it is possible to manage user accounts. You can also change settings for Apache, MySQL and file shares, for example. Version 1.100 has been available for three days and has the following changes:

Version 1.100 (4 Jul 2003)

  • Added the new LDAP Users and Groups module for managing Unix users in an LDAP database. Thanks for Sanitaetsbetrieb Brixen for contributing to the development of this module
  • Added the new IPsec VPN Configuration module for setting up FreeSWAN. Thanks to Joe Cooper for this one
  • Ported the Network Configuration and Disk Quotas modules to MacOSX X
  • Improved the File Manager and SSH/Telnet modules to be usable from browsers on OS X
  • Added group sychronization to the Disk Quotas module, so that quotas can be defined for new groups
  • Added an option to the MySQL module that allows large BLOBs to be uploaded and download instead of being edited directly
  • Improved the setup.sh to take a directory parameter, to which all Webmin files will be copied at install time, such as /usr/local/webmin. This allows the original webmin-1.100 directory to be deleted after setup.sh is complete
