Software Update: VLC Media Player 3.0.18

Version 3.0.18 of VLC Media Player has been released recently. This open source and cross platform media player can play various audio, video and streaming formats without having to install the appropriate codec. There is also support for Chromecast, hardware acceleration for decoding 4k and 8k video, support for hdr, display of 360-degree videos and 3d audio, access to network locations via smb, ftp and nfs, among others, hd audio pass-through and support for BD-Jmenus. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:
