Software update: UltraEdit 15.10

IDM Computer Solutions has its multifunctional text editor UltraEdit provided with an update to version 15.10. The program can handle regular ascii text, but hex and html files are also no problem. Furthermore, it has features such as macros, vertical block selection, syntax highlighting, a built-in ftp client and spell check in various languages. Version 15.10 includes a new XML manager, improved sorting options and the ability to highlight columns has been further expanded. The full changelog of this release looks like this:

UltraEdit version 15.10 changes:

  • New XML Manager
    • Supports any XML-based document, including XHTML
    • Double-click a node to jump to its position in the edit window
    • Shift + double-click to select node in edit window
    • Ability to cut, copy, paste, and duplicate nodes within the XML browser
    • Move nodes up/down
    • New configuration item for XML browser window
  • XMLlint and XML Convert to CR/LF now support all extensions used for XML highlighting
  • Code Folding Enhancements
    • Code folding graphical lines
    • Folding processed in separate thread
  • Expanded sort functionality
    • Sort now supports removal of duplicates based on any or all sort keys
    • New macro/scripting commands for sorting and duplicate removal based on keys (see Help for details)
  • Column marker enhancements
    • Unlimited number of column markers
    • Create column marker “groups”
    • New keymapping item “ViewShowColumnMarkers”
    • Toggle column markers on/off from toolbar button
    • Existing (legacy) column markers preserved
  • Plus other minor features and enhancements
