Download Tweak-7 1.0 Build 535 Beta 2

TotalIdea Software, known from Tweak-XP Pro and TweakVI, among others, is developing a similar program for Windows 7 under the name Tweak-7. This tweak program can handle both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 7 and recently also supports build 7127. After installation, the program can only be used for two weeks. That should not be a problem, because updates will be released regularly. Since the previous release in the Meuktracker, there have been several new releases and the status has been increased from beta 1 to beta 2. Below are the changes since build 505:

Changes in beta 1.0 build 535:

• The Tweak-7 Control Panel applet was incorrectly displayed as a 32bit applet on 64bit machines
• this has been fixed
• The ‘Hide disk drives’ feature was not working
• this has been fixed
• Fixing several unlogical behavior issues in the CD cache feature
• Several improvements to the RAM Disk feature (32bit systems only)
• On 64bit systems, 32bit MS Office products were not properly detected. This has been fixed in the System Information section, and the Outlook tweaks section
• Improved System CleanUp feature
• the feature now searches for even more unneeded files
• The Tweak-7 setup will now migrate application settings to any future version of Tweak-7 that will be installed. However
• this will work up from the next build as this build includes the migration code that all future builds depend on.

Changes in beta 1.0 build 530:

• Fixing some issues in a date-time conversion routine in the ‘Auto shutdown’ feature
• Fixing an issue in the System Cleanup feature where the IE cache was not cleaned if the cache path was not at the default location
• Fixing a critical issue in the Registry Cleanup feature which accidentally listed valid 32bit application registry keys as invalid on 64bit machines
• Fixing an issue that caused the ‘Details’ view in the System Cleanup results not to show up
• Improved registry cleanup

Changes in beta 1.0 build 522:

• Fixing a few minor issues
• Several internal code optimizations and improvements

Changes in beta 1.0 build 521:

• Fixing an issue in the ‘CPU Tweaks’ section where the snapshot feature was not saving all settings
• Fixing an issue where pre
• and superfetch settings were not displayed properly
• Fixing an issue in the ‘Autostart manager’ section where a few settings were not read properly from the system’s registry
• Fixing a few other minor issues
• System Cleanup now also supports Opera cache files
• Successfully tested on Windows 7 Build 7127.
