Software Update: Total Commander 9.00 Beta 15

A new beta release of Total Commander version 9.0 has been released, the fifteenth already. This program can be used as a replacement for Windows Explorer. Splitting the image in half makes it easy to copy files, but the program can do much more. There are various ways to modify files, there is a built-in ftp client and a multirename tool, and there is support for a large number of compression formats. Furthermore, the functionality can be plugins be expanded. The program is small and does not need to be installed to use it, so it is easy to use it anywhere.

In version 9 we find, among other things, a few cosmetic changes. For example, system icons are now used instead of the internal ones and a new menu bar has been placed between the two file screens. In addition, a large number of small improvements have been made. This beta release includes in addition to the usual bug fixes some new possibilities.

This is a public pre-release version! Please be careful! This time there are also some new functions:

• New placeholder [u] in multi-rename tool: Converts all composite characters (eg separate a and ^) to precomposed characters (â).
• New SSL/TLS implementation: support TLSv1.1 and TLSv1.2, and report the protocol in the connection log.
• Define view mode commands when switching away from a view mode to a different mode. Separate by | (vertical line), eg cm_100percent|cm_50percent
• The following internal commands now accept parameters 0 (toggle, default), 1 (true), and 2 (false), except in main menu (* stands for LEFT, RIGHT, and SRC): CM_VERTICALPANELS, CM_*THUMBS, CM_*BYNAME , CM_*BYEXT, CM_*BYSIZE, CM_*BYDATETIME, CM_*UNSORTED, CM_*NEGORDER.
