Software Update: Total Commander 8.51a

Christian Ghisler has released a minor update to last week’s version 8.51 of Total Commander. This program can be used as a replacement for Windows Explorer. Splitting the folder view into two makes it easy to copy files, but the program can do much more. There are various ways to modify files, there is a built-in ftp client and a multirename tool, and there is support for a large number of compression formats. Furthermore, the functionality can be plugins be expanded. Version 8.51a should fix an issue in the ftp client.

This version mainly corrects an error with uploads to FTP servers using “MODE Z” compression, and with the right click context menu. If you use Total Commander 8.51, we recommend that you update to Total Commander 8.51a immediately.
