Software Update: Total Commander 7.50a

On Thursday, exactly two weeks after the release of the final release of version 7.50 of Total Commander, a small update appeared. This program is intended as a replacement for Windows Explorer. With a screen split in half, it’s easy to copy files, but the program can do a lot more. There are various ways to modify files, there is a built-in ftp client, a multi-rename tool and there is support for a large number of compression formats. Furthermore, the functionality can be extended with plugins. Version 7.50a fixes several minor issues, including printing unicode files upside down in the lister, moving folders on the same drive slow, and inability to extract certain encrypted archives.
