Software Update: TortoiseSVN 1.8.8

There is a new update for it version 1.8.0 from TortoiseSVN came out. This program is a user interface for Subversion, which is used by developers for version control. It is almost indispensable when working on a project with different people. TortoiseSVN integrates as a shell extension into Windows and can be used on its own or in combination with an ide. Version 1.8.8 of TortoiseSVN is coupled with Subversion version 1.8.10 and should fix the following five issues:

Bug fixed in version 1.8.8

  • Issue #640: Restore after commit – Unchecked files are not restored upon commit.
  • Issue #641: svn:global-ignores does not work with multiple targets selected.
  • Issue #642: Log message not saved in history on cancel.
  • Issue #644: Bug in rename when “similar file name” renames are involved and file names include multiple dots.
  • Issue #653: Unified diff from log no longer includes property changes.
