Software Update: Tembria Network Monitor 3.3.2 build 318

Tembria has upgraded its Network Monitor software given to version 3.3.2 build 318. This program is able to monitor workstations and servers working inside and outside the network. Network Monitor can show HTTP and FTP status, services and shares per computer. It is also possible to read the event history so that any problems are discovered. Below are the changes posted from the first 3.3 release:

• The SNMP Bandwidth event monitor now shows interface numbers if it is unable to retrieve an interface name.
• Fixed a problem where very long event log messages could cause the service to hang on start up.

version 3.3.1

• Fixed a problem where the option to include the device name in the subject of email notifications could be set to off after the service is restarted
• Included a sample sound file for voice notification.
• For pager notifications, added more informative error messages when an unexpected condition occurs.
• Fixed a problem in the voice notifications where quotes around the selected file name were added by the Browse button but not correctly parsed.
• Fixed a problem in specifying the loop count for voice notifications.

• A new Windows Update event monitor checks the last time updates and patches were installed.
• A new SNMP process monitor watches processes on SNMP-enabled devices.
• A new bandwidth event monitor watches network bandwidth on workstations and servers running Windows.
• A problem with selecting sound notifications was corrected.
• Event monitors have improved support for simultaneous checks on individual network devices.
• Corrected a problem where network view information could be lost if the Detection Wizard was run and then the machine was rebooted without closing the client first.
