Software Update: SugarSync 3.8.3

Version 3.8.3 has been released from SugarSync. This online storage and synchronization service is comparable to services such as Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive and iCloud. The program can be used to backup or easily access files from different places. SugarSync only has paid plans with 100, 250 or 500GB storage, with Prices from $75 per year. A free account for three months with 5GB storage, to try it out is also possible. More information about the possibilities of SugarSync is here can be found and compared with other services here. Clients exist for various mobile platforms, Windows and macOS, but not yet for Linux. In addition, there is a Outlook plugin. The following changes have been made in this release:

Changes in version 3.8.3:

  • External Drive support for SugarSync Business accounts
    • USB flash drives, External drives, SD cards, etc all supported
  • Updated QT engine
  • Whole new crash reporting tool created to track/categorize crashes this will allow us to fix crashes much faster than having to reproduce them in house
  • More tweaks to Icon Overlays to get them to display and be in sync with the Desktop App
  • Fixed Gallery thumbnails not loading
  • In-App notifications for when a new folder is shared with you
  • Fixed Public links in Apple Mail bug on MacOS
  • Fixed Automatic renaming bugs
  • Fixed more crash issues
