Software Update: SRWare Iron 42.0.2250.0

Version 42 of SRWare Iron has been released. This browser is based on the source code of Google Chrome, but has all kinds of privacy improvements† For example, Google Chrome creates a unique number during installation with which the browser can be identified and information is sent to Google for Google Suggest. Iron doesn’t do this. Furthermore, Iron has an ad-blocker by default, which must be added to Chrome as an add-on, and the youser agent easier to adjust. The changelog for this release looks like this:

New Iron Version: 42.0.2250.0 Stable for Windows

We released the new Iron 42 today, which contains all features and updates known from Chromium 42. The current version is 42.0.2250.0.

To activate synchronization go to Start > Programs > SRWare Iron > Activate Sync…
(make sure all iron windows are closed before)
