Software Update: Squeezebox Server 7.5.2

Logitech has released a new version of Squeezebox Server. Previously released under the name SqueezeCenter, this program is required to control the various Squeezebox models, including the Classic, Duet and Boom. With these devices it is possible to listen to Internet radio and to play music files in various compressed and uncompressed formats from the network. SqueezeCenter is released under an open source license and is available for Windows, Windows Home Server, Linux, Solaris, FreeBSD, Mac OS X, and NetGear’s ReadyNAS. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

Improvements

  • Screen scrolling now handled by Squeezebox 2/3, Boom, Transporter when using MySqueezebox.com. Improves overall player responsiveness.
  • Refinement of messages in all languages
  • Backup alarm on Boom now rings for 60 minutes maximum (previously 1 minute)
  • Corrects problems when using Rhapsody music service (US only)
  • New remote control codes added to allow better integration with Logitech Harmony remotes
    • When new Power ON code is used, the Squeezebox will also attempt to wake up Squeezebox Server.
    • Harmony database not updated with these codes yet
